The two-day New Employee Orientation introduces you to the multifaceted aspects of UConn Health and provides you with all the necessary information that places you on a solid track for success as a new member of the UConn Health workforce. The program officially welcomes new hires and contractors to the UConn Health team, introducing participants to the dynamic culture, providing general institutional compliance and employment information. New hires, including contractors, are registered for orientation when positions are offered and start dates are established. For clinical staff and some providers, additional days of orientation are required, such as clinical operations orientation, Safety Starts with Me and general nursing orientation. Prior to the workshop, registered participants will receive an online link to take the assessment. Then, at the workshop, certified instructors will review results along with conducting a workshop style review of the framework. Attendees will engage in interactive feedback and exercises to determine type best fit, and discussion on how you can use that understanding to get more from yourself and the relationships you have with others.
